How to get to Wanjo Nasi Lemak

If you’re taking public transport, you can get off at Kampung Baru LRT station, which is the nearest LRT station to Wanjo Nasi Lemak.

Kampung Baru station is about 1km to the northwest of the Petronas Twin Towers.

It’s the first stop on the LRT line from KLCC station if you are heading towards Pasar Seni and KL Sentral.

When you arrive at Kampung Baru station, walk outside and turn right to go down the hill. Follow the street a couple of hundred metres to the intersection and then turn left.

Wanjo is about 200 metres down the road on the right-hand side.

What food do they have at Wanjo?

They serve great, local style nasi lemak at Wanjo.

If you’ve never tried nasi lemak before, it’s a Malaysian specialty which you really have to try at least once (and probably more than once because it tastes great).

Basically, you get some rice on a plate and then choose what you want to go with it. A popular choice is some chicken (ayam) with some egg and sambal sauce (mildly spicy sauce).

You can also add some tempe and mix and match as you please.

How much does Wanjo nasi lemak cost?

A plate of nasi lemak chicken rendang with an egg and some sambal sauce cost me 8 ringgit.

I got a bottle of water and the total price came to 9.50.

Wanjo Nasi Lemak Review

I rate Wanjo Nasi Lemak very highly.

In fact, at the time I’m writing this Wanjo is my all-time favorite nasi lemak… anywhere.

It’s a little bit more expensive than the nearby Antarabangsa Nasi Lemak, which is also in Kampung Baru, but in my opinion, the food is slightly better and the atmosphere is a little nicer in Wanjo.

I rate Wanjo Nasi Lemak 9/10.

To be honest, the only reason I didn’t give it a 10 out of 10 is that I want to leave a little bit of room in case I do eventually find somewhere even better than Wanjo.
